Praxis Research Institute originated out of the efforts of Robin Amis to fulfill a task, given to him many years ago by a Hermit-Elder in the Christian monastic community of Mount Athos, Greece, to bring "the knowledge of the Heart" to those educated and living in the West. This task was the driving force of Mr. Amis' life for over thirty years.   

Praxis Research Institute was established in the State of Massachusetts as a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Praxis has no independent source of support. Its continued viability depends on donations and volunteer efforts of those committed to this work and by modest income from the sale of publications.
